چکیده
BACKGROUND #ENTITYSTARTX02014; Sometime, it's difficult to distinguish the electrophysiological mechanism of some tachycardia, and so, influencing the efficacy and safety of ablation operation. Therefore, it's helpful to analysis some tachycardia in particular mechanism, as in this case. METHODS AND RESULTS #ENTITYSTARTX02014; A 49 years old Chinese male patient had a history of paroxysmal palpitation for 25 years, and recurred more frequently in the month before admission. Electrocardiogram (ECG) showed no abnormity under sinus rhythm, and showed no specific sign to distinguish its reentrant mechanism when tachycardia running. Electrophysiological examination and the result of successful ablation showed that the retrograde pathway of its reentry was in slow conduction, and from which the reentry started; moreover, after partially ablating, the reentry started from antegrade slow conduction. CONCLUSION #ENTITYSTARTX02014; Careful cardiac electrophysiological examination and paying more attention to inducing conditions of tachycardia are critical to accurately determining the tachycardia mechanism.

Successful radiofrequency catheter ablation of atrioventricular nodal reentrant tachycardia in a patient with dextrocardia due to unilateral pulmonary agenesis: a case report
Radiofrequency catheter ablation of the slow pathway is considered to be the treatment of choice for patients with atrioventricular nodal reentrant tachycardia. We report a 34-year-old female with mirror image dextrocardia due to unilateral pulmonary agenesis who underwent successful slow pathway ablation for typical atrioventricular nodal reentrant tachycardia. Using contrast injection, cardia...
متن کاملAV reentrant and idiopathic ventricular double tachycardias: complicated interactions between two tachycardias.
An electrophysiological study was performed in a 61 year old man with Wolff- Parkinson-White (WPW) syndrome. At baseline, neither ventricular nor supraventricular tachycardias could be induced. During isoprenaline infusion, ventricular tachycardia originating from the right ventricular outflow tract (RVOT) with a cycle length of 280 ms was induced and subsequently atrioventricular reentrant tac...
متن کاملTachycardia and the AV nodal region: guilt by association?
Tachycardias that are successfully ablated in the vicinity of the atrioventricular (AV) node are common, and although frequently successfully treated, are among the most difficult arrhythmias to understand in cardiac electrophysiology. Even AV node reentrant tachycardia (AVNRT), despite near universal cure, is complex with the anatomic constructs for typical, atypical forms, left-sided AVNRT, u...

متن کاملOne symptom, two arrhythmias: the rare and the even rarer
BACKGROUND Wolff-Parkinson-White (WPW) syndrome and idiopathic left ventricular tachycardia (ILVT) are rare and up to now the coexistence of both entities has rarely been reported. In patients with ventricular preexcitation the underlying mechanism of paroxysmal tachycardia most likely is atrioventricular reentrant tachycardia (AVRT). However, without ECG documentation of the tachycardia diagno...
